Filter article texts too #672

Hello,

currently it's possible to filter articles by headlines. But it would be great to do that with article preview texts too.

So I could better include/exclude articles with or without interesting content.

Can advise how to do that presently? I am using it with FreshRSS and have to do the filtering on it instead.

@githupper the filter articles here is same to local search. now feedme only support search by title, @tawissus want to also search by the summary/preview.

I guess you metioned FreshRSS filtering is filter article before user can read it. the filter/processed articles won't show to user. If I am right, you can check this doc, it's the feature in feedme: https://github.com/seazon/FeedMe/blob/master/doc/en/filter.md

Will this be ever applied on a per category basis? It can be limiting on a per feed basis since using the example in the filer.md, a user may subscribe to multiple feeds pertaining to Android such as Android And Me, AndroidPolice, AndroidAuthority etc and can be tedious and repetitive to apply on per feed rather than per category. I can open this topic on a separate issue on the tracker also if it can be considered.

And my apologies for deviating from the original discussion and I agree as well that the ability to filter from article preview is a very useful feature now that I know FeedMe got this capability.

I tried today with a feed via wordpress and it works. Thank you 🙂
