I'm on a SP3 running R91. The biggest challenge has to do with the choice between cros_debug & enable_hyperthreading:
If cros_debug is removed from grub: I'm able to see all apps & use anything with rugged security (like Netflix), but the performance is unusable because of constant screen painting issues
If cros_debug is in grub: Apps with tight security don't work (as called out in numerous posts & the README), but performance is beautiful in every way
I know enable_hyperthreading adds security workarounds that trigger the same app behavior as cros_debug.
My question: Is this a "it will always be this way" situation, or is there some help/research I can do so non-dev mode can be within 50% of dev-mode performance/usability?
Strangely, some disk images when updating to beta, turn on debug mode, and off again without resetting, resolves the issue. For example the "hatch" one.
