You can try installing the drivers using the Beta Linux and set them to be run at system start up. If that fails you can also try recovering the OS using this method: On the Beta Linux, download the Recovery Tool here: https://dl.google.com/dl/edgedl/chromeos/recovery/linux_recovery.sh Change the script permissions to allow execution with the following command: $ sudo chmod 755 linux_recovery.sh Run the script with root privileges with the following command: $ sudo bash linux_recovery.sh Follow the on-screen instructions to create recovery media. This should install the proper version of chrome OS on your device. To enable Beta Linux on Chrome OS: On your Chromebook, at the bottom right, select the time. Select Settings and then Advanced and then Developers. Next to ‘Linux development environment’, select Turn on. Follow the on-screen instructions. Setup can take 10 minutes or more. A terminal window opens. You have a Debian 10 (Buster) environment. You can run Linux commands, install more tools using the APT package manager and customise your shell.
Today I have been testing, and using chromeos v.80 (rammus) not the last one which is 90, and it works. But now when I have updated it to v. 90, sound has disappeared.
I don't know how to do what you said with the drivers. I'm a noob. Sorry.
Thanks for your time!
Open the browser and do Ctrl + Alt + T - crosh will open then type rollback && hit enter.
Welcome to chrome os I hope you like it use it wisely it's a powerful tool.
The problem is when the PC updates to Chromeos 9X version, the 8X version works great. Is it possible to save the audio card settings (of the 8X version), and then restore it after the update to Chromeos 9X?
No as far as I know. Sorry.
Hello everyone. I have an Asus T100Ta, and a few days ago I installed chrome Os on it. It works perfectly, but the only things that does not work, are the microphone, and speakers. Can someone help me? I would appreciate it a lot! Thanks!
