Settings not getting saved / applied - Can't change anything to fix cursor movement... #1436

Hi.

In a attempt to install Chrome OS into an HP Pavilion x2 (a convertible) giving it a second live... I decided to give this project a shot. Everything works great... Although, there is a small problem I have encountered... The cursor is not responding... It only works if I plug an external one... But the touchpad is useless... It only responds to right and left clic... But there's no movement at all.

I thought that accessing ChromeOS (Config) at the start of the PC and changing some values would result in eventually getting the problem fixed... That ended up not happening as everything that I was changing in that menus (like "alt_touchpad_config... The three that are available" or even the "psmose.elantech_smbus=1" as I know it is an ELAN trackpad) didn't matter after the reboot... Not even the bootsplash is getting saved... That happens in the latest release (r97)... But it seems that it also happens with version r93 (the other one I tried)... With the exception that the bootsplash gets saved in r93... But the configs I add don't... Am I missing something? As I said every other essential component is working perfectly fine... But the cursor doesn't... And no config gets saved after the reboot...

Any idea of what could be happening? Any workaround that I could use to edit this settings? (I'm a noob Linux user so if there is a workaround, please, explain to me like I'm a dumb child... ).

Thanks in advance... This project is awesome!

Sorry for replying to an almost 2-year-old issue but do you remember if you ever got it working? I'm having the same issue.
