I've tried an old Rammus r81 build with Brunch r81 with option=baytrail_chromebook and now the sound works like a charm; however, AFAIK newer brunch releases don't include the baytrail_chromebook argument anymore.
Alright, after I've spent some time fiddling around with brunch frameworks and recoveries, I found the perfect brunch/recovery match for this baytrail Chromebook with a chmax98090 audio chipset.
This should work for most if not all other baytrail Chromebooks.
Brunch r91 - Download Rammus r92 - Download - Archive.org link as CRoS's links for rammus are unavailable and ChromiumDash doesn't provide Recovery versions below r99
Make sure to set option=baytrail_chromebook upon cros-debug in grub.cfg by entering sudo edit-grub-config
in shell.
Neither sound nor video is working. I've tried every combination of kernels with and without the chromebook_audio option but to no avail. I've tried using the original gnawty recovery but again, to no avail.
I'm running Brunch r102 with ChromeOS r100 rammus. The reason, why I've picked this combination, is that I had already tried every ChromeOS above r100 and I couldn't reach the sign-in page nor view any web pages in a guest mode in any of them. Also, it stated in the #FAQ Channel of Brunch Discord Server that any ChromeOS version below r103 should use Brunch r102.
The Audio works perfectly in Windows and most Linux Distros. dmesg.txt
