strange sound problem #1928

Closed k-dannemand closed 8 months ago

fresh install on dell latitude 7390 i5 Gen8 8250U everything seems to work perfectly. but I can't get sound out of the built-in speakers all other sound works fine, if I put something in the jack it works immediately. bluetooth immediately. but no matter what I do, I can't get anything out of the built-in ones. it looks like it can see it.

Does anyone have any ideas on what I can try?

From the looks of it it can't see your speakers as an output. HDA Intel PCH: HDMI is HDMI output audio, ALC3246 is the jack. I believe you need to get some firmware.
