Unable to boot with Ryzen 7 7840HS #2061

I am trying to boot brunch but it fails and reboot automatically. I have managed to get a screenshot of the last instant before the screen goes blank and it reboot.

It seems like it happens after or while it's loading the drm of the AMD gpu. Screenshot from 2024-04-19 10-59-44

Hey I have got the same issue too! Still haven't got a fix yet. Also if you didn't know DRM stands for Direct Rendering Manager

I haven't tried it yet, to be honest I installed it half a year ago and got the same error, then I switched to fedora with waydroid.

I have been running ChromeOS Flex on a Lenovo laptop with AMD Ryzen 5 5600U without problems since 1.5 years. Although it is true that the first time I installed ChromeOS Flex was probably v118 or earlier.

I have not tried to run brunch on the AMD Ryzen 5600U but since ChromeOS Flex does not boot on the Ryzen 7 7840HS I was trying to use brunch without success.

For the time being, I am also using Fedora on the Ryzen 7 7840HS system

For me ChromeOS Flex works in the latest version. What's seems to be my issue?

Tôi chưa thử chạy bữa nửa buổi trên AMD Ryzen 5600U nhưng vì ChromeOS Flex không khởi động trên Ryzen 7 7840HS nên tôi đã cố gắng sử dụng bữa nửa buổi nhưng không thành công.

Hiện tại mình cũng đang sử dụng Fedora trên hệ thống Ryzen 7 7840HS

It is probably unrelated, I was just saying that the kernel version shipped on ChromeOS Flex does boot on Ryzen 5600U (which is of the same family of the 5500U) but both ChromeOS Flex and Brunch, for probably different reasons, are unable to boot on Ryzen 7840HS.

ChromeOS Flex there is nothing I can do, period. For brunch, I wonder if there are ways to change the kernel to get it to boot
