HP Elite x2 G1 1012 - power button not working #613

Open M3C-Owx opened 3 years ago

M3C-Owx commented 3 years ago

Device - Detachable notebook HP Elite x2 G1 1012 Tested builds - EVE, Rammus, Chell

Pressing power button while in CroOS does nothing (in both Notebook and Tablet mode) so I'm unable to put device to sleep without connecting detachable keyboard.

Have you tried the firmware option acpi_power_button ?

M3C-Owx commented 3 years ago

Thanks for reply @ameyjoshi3068 With "option=acpi_power_button" pressing power button opens power menu with Shutdown, Sign out, Lock and Feedback (in both Notebook and Tablet mode) Still I'm unable to put device to sleep.

acpi_power_button can fix only this issue.

for sleeping in tablet mode, see https://www.reddit.com/r/chromeos/comments/9osxod/easy_way_to_put_to_sleep_in_tablet_mode/

I found someone saying that pressing win+shift+L will put your device to sleep but when I used it on laptop my laptop, touch stopped working, also sleep function doesn't work at all on my laptop but you can give it a try.
