bytcr-rt5640 is a complex model which was not properly supported in the linux kernel for a long time. You might need two things to make this work:
- I am not sure if the ucm files I include for bytcr-rt5640 included in /usr/share/alsa/ucm are the most adapted ones and support microphone. I tried to update them but it broke sound for some, you might want to try newer ones.
- In addition, you will probably also need a fix similar to the one we are currently discussing in #56
Unfortunately, only usb cameras are supported in chromeos and most baytrail devices are not connected through usb.
HI! I have installed samus with the Brunch framework on a Acer Switch 5-012 and everything works GREAT!!! only the microphone and camera is not working... the soundcard is a bytcr-rt5640 is it possible to get the microphone running, I don't care about the camera?
Can anyone help me, I am very new to linux and chromeos? Thanks!
