open file list and buffer list at the same time? #12

Hi, I have a lot of horizontal screen real estate, and I would love to be able to open my file list on the left of the screen and my buffer list on the right side, and keep them both persistently open. Is this currently possible, or something that could be added relatively easily? So far, I am pretty impressed with the tool.
