KEYNOTE RECOMMENDATIONS
1. Ability to print Alarm window List - A list of all alarms set.
2. "Show pending function" - don't understand what it does? - should at least
show
pending items for Today.
3. Time selection field not good - could be a drop down list or something
better.
4. Ability to Select individual or all set Alarm List - I want to copy/pasta my
Alarm list - e.g email or paste into keynote.
5. Ability not to be able to assign a time but only date to an alarm - item
just
hanging until time is given at a later date.
6. Ability to set more than one Alaram to a Node.
7. Allow Copy/Paste function from Keynote onto Alarm windwow while Alarm window
is
open.
8. Alarm window could show items listed under Months due.
9. Allow different colour text to be input on Alarm window. Useful when
prioritising
Alarms.
10. Indicate on the specific Node alarm is set on, with an icon or some symbol,
that
an Alarm is assigned to it.
11. Font sizes on Alarm window should be adjustable - difficult to see in small
fonts.
12. Show "Pending" should be changed to "Show Alarms for the Week".
13. You should be able to Set re-occuring alarms - should have an icon or
symbol to
indicate it is a re-occuring event.
14. Add ability to search All Alarm's set.
15. Discarded Alarm Notes could be automatically stored somewhere in Keynote (a
specific note in the keynote file could be assigned to this) This is usefull
for referencing later on - if an alarm is discarded by mistake and has to be re-
instated.
16. Allow Colour coding to individual set Alarmed - for the purposes of setting
priority.
17. Text entry field for Alarms should be bigger (more colums allowed) to allow
more
text to be entered. In the Alarms list pane, only one-line entry can be
displayed, but the user should be allowed to enter more text. This is
especially
useful if an Alarm has sub-sections (which can't be entered separatley since
only one alarm per node is allowed. In that case the user can entered in the
BIGGER
field sub-alarms (or sub entries) relating to the main Headed alarmed
event.
18. A separate Window to show all pending alarms for today only (no matter what
time
it is due). I simply want to see what I have planned for that day & the
times for each alarm.
19. There should be a way to set an Alarm for a Note tab. At the moment only
alarms
for Nodes within Note tabs are allowed.
ERRORS:
1. When the alarm window pop-up and you press anywhere outside the alarm window
- it
is get hidden in the background.
2. Error: WHen a node is moved to another NOTE - the Alarm is deleted. It
should
remain or at least warn user
that there is an Alarm and that it would be deleted.

The alarm window should have a cancel button. At the moment if you make any
changes
there is no way to revert back to the original - unless you remember what the
original was.

With the revision r138 has been added, for now, the following improvements:
- It differs from the 'expiration/start instant' of the event and the 'reminder
instant'
- It is possible to add a longer subject to the alarm, with several lines
- Alarm window can be resized
- To introduce the 'expiration/start instant' it has been replaced the time
control with a combobox with a behaviour similar to that offered by Outlook:
you can select a time from a list and also directly introduce hours in
different ways, like "12:23" "1223" "12-23" "0531" "531" and so on
- Reminder instant can be set in two ways: specifying a time interval 'before'
the 'expiration/start instant', or by a time interval from the present time.
- To specify those intervals it is added a combo also similar to that offered
by Outook and that includes elements like "5 minutes", "4 hours" or "2 days".
You can also write intervals like "5m", "5 min", "4.5 h", etc. If unit time is
not include will be assumed 'minutes'
- Time buttons ('5 min ', '10 min', 'Today 3:00 p.m.', ...) are still offering
to help setting the reminder instant, and to quickly postpone a reminder
- The window can show the 'pending' reminders (and it is further clarified in
the Hint: the reminder was triggered and was ignored, that is, wasn't postponed
nor discarded), overdue events, or all alarm/events
- A confirmation is required when clicking in 'Discard ALL'
- In the hint of the button that turns on or off the popup of alarm window, it
is shown no only how many reminders 'pending' there is but also how many
overdue events.
- Note: from older versions it is possible to direclty see all alarms or
pending reminders click CTR + one of the two alarm buttons in the toolbar

Hello, I am still working on this issue. It will be possible to print the list
of alarms.
This is not a new version, is a new 'revision', in the repository of
Subversion, where it is the source code. You cannot download it yet. I will
offer it as a new Beta, or directly as the next release: 1.7.9. It will depend
on the time it takes to me to finish this issue.

The rest of changes to incorporate by now have been added with the new revision
r143:
- It is now possible to set more than one alarm to a node, or even directly to
a note.
- If a node has an alarm set then clicking on the "Set alarm..." button will
edit that alarm. You can add a new alarm to that node using the button 'New',
in the alarm window, pressing CTR while clicking on "Set alarm..." button or
pressing CTR while clicking on 'Set alarm on node...' in the modal menu
associated to that node.
- To add an alarm to a note you have to use the modal menu of the note, with
the same behaviour respect to button CTR.
- In the alarm window we can see alarms of many different nodes or notes. If we
click on the button 'New' we will create a new alarm associated to the same
item (node or note) than the previously selected alarm.
- The information about the alarms is shown in a grid. So now it is possible to
order the alarm list clicking in the header of each column: note (name), node
(name), Expiration/Start date / time, Subject, Reminder date/time
- It's possible to filter the alarms list based on a text contained in the
subject name, node or note name. Also based in the expiration or start date.
- Alarm window is resizable and not modal (and so we can copy/paste from
Keynote onto Alarm window)
- Alarms can be highlighted changing its text colour, back color or setting
bold font.
- It is possible to operate with several alarms at the same time. For example
to change their color at once.
- Discarded alarms are not removed. They are simply ignored. We will be able to
restore or definitely remove a discarded alarm.
- We can copy to the clipboard a table with the alarms selected, including all
the fields visible in the grid and another column with a link to the nodes or
notes.
- Corrected: When a node was moved to another note the Alarm was deleted. Now
the alarm is moved too.
The format of the keynote file itself have been modified to allow this kind of
alarms:
NA=D10-06-2010 08:00:00/10-06-2010 07:55:00*B100/1200|Este es un comentario a
la alarma
B: Bold N: Normal
NA=[D]Expiration[/Reminder][*Format][|subject]
[] => opcional
D: Discarded
Expiration or Reminder: DD-MM-YYYY HH:MM:SS
Format: BoldFormatColorFuente/ColorFondo
BoldFormat: B or N (Bold or Normal)
ColorFuente o ColorFondo: número (TColor)

Could you fix printing?
The print setup (under file) doesn't affect the printout, no matter how i set
it. Printouts go all the way to every margin (with 1" settings, e.g.)
The print preview shows random blank pages after an initial page of a single
node.
And the preview only shows the first node of the note, even though I plan to
print the whole note. Print preview should allow me to select the whole note
(or just the node) for previewing and printing, because if I print from the
preview, I can only print one node. As it is, I'll have to export to get a
decent printout...
