[BUG-232880] currently worn clothing layers as bake textures #10067

How would you like the feature to work?

currently, in the texture picker, we have texture baking options for BAKED_UPPER, BAKED_LOWER, etc.

what i'm proposing is adding baked textures for each of the classic clothing layers, ex: BAKED_SHIRT, BAKED_PANTS, etc. transparent sections of these textures must render as transparent.

these bake textures should not include anything from other layers, for example BAKED_JACKET should not include anything from the shirt layer, or skin or anything else other than the jacket.

if a clothing item is not being worn in that slot it should be rendered as fully transparent

Why is this feature important to you? How would it benefit the community?

this would greatly enhance my available outfits. as part of my body uses mesh attachments, and a mesh body (which seems to be the norm for most residents these days, especially furry ones such as myself)

this would also help revitalize all the old clothing assets in the marketplace which often go unused/underused at present

The purpose of the current baked textures is to let you see all the traditional clothing layers mapped onto your mesh body. This mimics the decal-like behavior of the original system avatar. But I'm not sure how these partial bakes would be used. Could you talk about the intended use cases?
