Hi Amalia,
I suspect from you description your Current Outfit Folder has become corrupt and out of sync with what the server thinks it should be.
Try this method to rest your avatar to basic and then try putting your regular avatar back on.
- Right-click on your avatar and then select Take off > Detach All.
- Then try putting on the Test Avatar from Develop > Avatar > Character Test > Test Male
- Relog

What just happened?
When I teleported home, some of my clothes weren't attached to my body. They' are floating next to my body. I'm unable to detach them and put them back on. They follow me around when I'm walking. Undressing and re-dressing, "wear" outfit, doesn't fix it. I can't take the items back into my inventory.
What were you doing when it happened?
I was in another region sitting on a bench and I teleported dirextly home. Could it be because I didn't "stand" first before teleporting out of the region?
What were you expecting to happen instead?
Expected to teleport home with my clothes on, not dangling in the air beside me. In this case it's a boot and a jacket. Other times it was my hair, skirt, etc.
Other information
You can see the items in my outfits/inventory but it won't let me wear the items or take them back into my inventory. :(((
This has happened to me several times in the past few weeks. A few times it resolved itself, once with help from SL support, the other times I don't know what fixed it.
