[BUG-233813] Incrementing the TextureMemory parameter (currently limited to 512) #10848

How would you like the feature to work?

Dear All: Using the official viewer I always find that texture loading is slow and incomplete, and many textures remain unreadable without fully loading at any time, both in the outfits gallery and in the environment, as shown in photos 1 and 2. I notice that the memory for textures (TextureMemory) is limited to 512, photo 3, and cannot be increased. On the other hand, in the Firestorm viewer, the loading of textures is total, complete, clear, fast as can be seen in photo 4. I notice that in this viewer the texture memory is 2048 and, in addition, it can be increased, as I point out in the photo 5. At the suggestion of the Linden Lab technical support team I increased the cache size from 2048 to 4096 but that doesn't fix the diference between the two viewers. I am convinced that the reason why the official viewer loads the textures so badly in relation to Firestorm is the limitation to 512 of the TextureMemory parameter. In case i'm right, my suggestion is that it be increased as it happens in firestorm. Or that the problem will be analyzed anyway, because the difference between viewers is very important I have a PC with AMD Ryzen 7 5800X, 32 Md of RAM, and NVidia GeForce 3060, internet conection with a optical fiber, Windows 11, and i use both viewers in the same computer. A hug!

Why is this feature important to you? How would it benefit the community?

I think it is important for the Second Life community that the official viewer itself offers at least a correct user experience, and that it does not become essential to have to resort to third-party viewers.

This is implemented in the upcoming GLTF Material Import viewer, currently available on the https://releasenotes.secondlife.com/viewer.html page.
