[BUG-234964] Select Reflection Probes - Disabled again after relog. #11786

What just happened?

I'm trying to enable the option to select reflection probes and found that option to disable itself after a relog.

What were you doing when it happened?

Since i'm a Firestorm user, i asked in the Firestorm Preview group about this. I was told this is how LL did it and they took over the code like that.

What were you expecting to happen instead?

I don't know if it is deliberate but i can tell you that if it is, it is beyond all logic. When i change something in a setting as an end user, i expect it to remain this way.

Other information

Again, if this is how it is suppose to be, can you please explain to me the reasoning behind it? Thank you.

The reason why this is done is because it's assumed the user will only tweak reflection probes in "sessions", and that it's more of an annoyance to constantly be selecting a reflection probe instead of selecting the object that you actually intended to select.

The setting does not persist as it's easy for a user to tweak reflection probes, shut down their viewer, then come back and scratch their head as to why they can't select objects in their home.

I don't like it when a program wants to make decisions for me so i find this a bit of a silly thing to do, but if LL really wants to try and hold people's hands like this, i suggest a debug setting that will allow this option to stick. You know, for the people that use this often and.... know what they are doing...
