I keep getting the message...'can no connect to the simulater..I downloaded the latest ver. and still I am receiving the same message..' can no connec to the simulaer

The rolling restarts are currently in progress, which means a lot of regions will be offline. See https://community.secondlife.com/t5/Status-Grid/Rolling-Maintenance-Main-Channel-Roll/ba-p/3074387

Try logging directly into a different region & you should get logged in ok.
