Hi Ivanova,
Thank you for your suggestion. We've reviewed your request and determined that it is not something we can tackle at this time. However, if you would like to make a contribution or find someone else willing to make a contribution for such a feature change we would consider taking it in the STORM project.
Please be assured that we truly appreciate the time you invested in creating this feature request, and have given it thoughtful consideration among our review team. This wiki outlines some of the reasoning we use to determine which requests we can, or can't, take on: http://wiki.secondlife.com/wiki/Feature_Requests
Thanks again for your interest in improving Second Life.
How would you like the feature to work?
Much like a texture on a prim face can be set to a single or looped framed animation, or smooth animation and/or scale or rotation animation, a projected light could be made to change according to the same type of animation choices via scripted functions.
Why is this feature important to you? How would it benefit the community?
While it is already possible to add a dynamically changing element to a projected light through the use of an adjunct prim and texture, much like a theatrical stage lighting cookaloris or gobo, having the ability to animate the source projector light texture would facilitate this using only the projector prim itself. Additionally using an adjunct cookaloris type system would allow for much more robust, dynamic, and seemingly random changes for lighting in such places as clubs, theaters, role play venues, personal residences and art installations.
