Heya Hunter,
Please can you take a screenshot showing the halo. You can attach images to this JIRA issue using More Actions -> Attach Files.
Couple of guesses at what the problem could be before seeing an image:
- Use a different windlight sky setting. A lot of windlight sky settings will cast an ugly shadow on the avatars face, especially around the eyes, nose & forehead. If the windlight sky setting is the problem then there is nothing you can do about that apart from to use a different sky setting.
- If this halo is like an invisiprim effect sticking out around your head then it's probably this bug: BUG-4357 & the problem will be the hair base rendering broken when Advanced Lighting Model is enabled. If you go to Me -> Preferences -> Graphics -> Advanced and you untick "Advanced Lighting Model" and the halo goes away then it's likely to be this problem. Try wearing a different hairbase & see if it looks okay with Advanced Lighting Model enabled again.
