I know 'Skybox' sounds misleading in SL context and I don't know if its really called like that, so please let me explain: What I mean is the simple effect that makes the texture seems to be indefinite far away.
Think of a spacestation, you place prims outside the windows and apply a starfield texture.
In SL it will look like a painting on the wall when you move around a little, but if you could switch it to skybox mode, that starfield would look far away.
Why is this feature important to you? How would it benefit the community?
This effect is part of every 3d game engine I know since the early 90s hence I think it must be easy to implement and cheap to render and it could contribute alot to create an immersive feel inside SL.
