[BUG-5981] Slow clothing rez with Project Interesting #13883

Open sl-service-account opened 10 years ago

sl-service-account commented 10 years ago

Steps to Reproduce

Changing clothes at my platform in sky made for having few outside textures around and privacy, to enable faster clothing changes

Actual Behavior

Running various tests in changing clothes since Project Interesting, and mesh is taking up to 15-20 minutes to load, system and sculpties about 5 minutes, regular prims and flexi-prims are only thing loading in a short time. It appears since I downloaded the newest viewer with Project Interesting, everything else is taking a priority to what I'm wearing.

Expected Behavior

I was expecting changes to clothing to happen within less then a minute as usual.

Heya Sandy,

Please can you run a session where you change outfits and reproduce this very slow loading of avatar textures and sculpty/mesh attachments and then after logging out, before relaunching the viewer, zip up your entire logs folder and attach it to this issue using More Actions -> Attach files. This page tells you where to find your logs folder: http://community.secondlife.com/t5/English-Knowledge-Base/How-to-report-a-bug/ta-p/733545#Section_.3

Just to clarify - is it only worn mesh and sculpties that are being very slow to load and sculpts/meshes rezzed on the region are loading normally? Are other avatars and their attachments also loading slowly for you or is this only affecting your own avatar?

Are you having this problem on all regions or just a specific region?

What setting do you have for Maximum bandwidth under Me -> Preferences -> Setup?

Are you using a wired or wireless connection? Please take the 3 speed tests to the preferred server at http://softdallas.speedtest.net/, http://tucson.speedtest.net/ and http://reston.speedtest.net/ and give the results for ping, upload and download speeds.

Thanks!

Does this resolve your issue? Are you still experiencing this issue?
