Hi Niamh, it's hard to say without adequate details of the setup, but there are a few cases in which a vehicle you own would not be returned to your inventory after you're unseated from it:
- the vehicle is temp-on-rez (so it wouldn't be returned to your inventory ever, but instead would disappear upon expiration)
- the sandbox is a sandbox region (regions marked as sandbox regions don't return objects that hit the autoreturn limit, but instead delete them)
- the official viewer has a notification which warns of this behavior when entering a sandbox region, though many people opt to dismiss it
- the vehicle is still in the sim, somewhere
Could you please post step-by-step instructions for which specific coordinates in the regions a boat driver should cross through to see this issue?
