[BUG-6866] Inventory sort options #14666

How would you like the feature to work?

at least one or more viewers have the ability to filter search results of your inventory making it easier to look for items by type and change how long ago in the recent tab the inventory looks back for items. Anyway what I would like to see it the ability to filter inventory results by permissions. there are two ways I could think it could be approached 1 a flat out set of permissions like +c -m -t for example would show only results that have those perms or lets say +c -t but don't care if it's mod or not and in closes both possibilities. the ability to turn this off to would likely be nice as well.

Why is this feature important to you? How would it benefit the community?

In the past there has been problems where you put down an object that has one permission set and when you pick it up it has another occupationally that may be on perpous by the creator but I think usually not. (sometimes they may forget to change permissions on a prim or script to reflect what they want the new owner to have and sometimes people have to get replacements or the asset server may spit out the wrong perms if it's having issues. The creator can't see the final results without somehow giving themselves a copy as received by others or handing one to an alt) sometimes you end up with the same item with different perms and often isn't easy to keep track or want to sort through your inventory for some reason or other. Maybe you want to put out furniture that is copy cause if a no copy item gets returned you usually lose it least I have or you want to be able to modify what you put out. These adjustments I think would help make it easier for people to go through their inventory for things like that and possibly for things I can't think of. while linden labs may not want to add this feature the way the inventory permissions are kept track I was told accest server changes would likely need to be made to achieve this. This may not be doable without major work or may only need minor work hoping on the latter and it may not be worth linden labs effort if it is the former but if you could look into it I think it would be a useful change.

Thank you for your suggestion. This is something we're not interested in implementing at this time.
