Hi Pilo, this could be explained by the parcel encroachment feature. If an object centered on your parcel encroaches on the neighbor's parcel, then your neighbor will be able to return it. Whether an object is 'encroaching' or not is determined by whether its physics shape crosses the parcel boundary. A large tree could very well be encroaching.

You can view the physics shape of an object by setting it to a static pathfinding type and viewing the collision shape in the "pathfinding view/test" floater. This page, and its linked pages: https://wiki.secondlife.com/wiki/Pathfinding_Quick_Start_Guide

If you can verify that your tree was not encroaching when you rerez it in the same spot, can you point to its position in your parcel (a SLURL would be best) and a date range of when it was on your parcel, prior to the neighbor returning it?
