Steps to Reproduce

Entering the game for the first time

Actual Behavior

My avatar from the moment I started playing was contorted all different ways. I can't even see what she looks like

Expected Behavior

I was expecting to be able to see my avatar and what she is supposed to look like

I suspect this is going to be a case of BUG-5156

LucieLeona is new so she will have been given one of the new fitted mesh starter avatars. BUG-5156 does not only affect those with AMD graphics - Mac users on 10.6.8 with intel graphics are also affected - see last comment HERE

LucieLeona, if you go to Me -> Preferences -> Graphics -> Advanced Untick the option named "Hardware skinning". Does your avatar then display correctly?

If this does fix the problem then the only real fix for you is to update your operating system to Mac Mavericks or Yosemite (I would choose Mavericks for now as Yosemite has some issues on Second Life). The OS update will also update the graphics drivers, which should fix this issue and allow you to keep hardware skinning enabled.

Another thing to try - install the SnowStorm-RC viewer from http://wiki.secondlife.com/wiki/Release_Notes/Second_Life_Release/3.7.21.296724 This viewer version may fix the problem - I'm unsure if the fix will work on mac 10.6.8 though but hey, worth a shot. Make sure hardware skinning is ticked on this viewer and see if your avatar displays correctly.
