[BUG-7864] Multiple Issues #15527

Open sl-service-account opened 9 years ago

sl-service-account commented 9 years ago

Steps to Reproduce

I was only changing clothes so that I was more proper to go and buy a piece of land for a friend.

Actual Behavior

When trying to change clothes I wasn't able to see anything from clothing to furnishings but others saw me with multiple outfits on at the same time. Signed off and back on trying to force a proper rez, tried to go "home" and every time I would get logged off of second life. I cannot sit and then "stand" I'm running in space while not even on the screen for SL, but here to report a widespread bug. I keep getting that secondlife.com is unavailable. I restarted my computer, reset my internet thinking it was a glitch with me because earlier everything worked fine.

Expected Behavior

For my clothes to go on like normal, ,for me to be able to walk, teleport without issues. It feels like it did seven years ago when the whole weekend we were stuck without being able to leave a sim.

Other information

I just want to help my friend go and buy a piece of land so that he can enjoy SL the way my daughter, friends, and I have for the past few years.

Heya Slowtime,

Are you only having these problems on one particular region? If this is limited to one region and others on that same region have the same problem then it is likely this region is in a bad state and needs to be restarted. Try logging in directly to a few different regions and see if you have the same problem.

If you are having all these problems (avatar will not rez, getting disconnected every teleport etc) on all regions then the problem is likely to be your connection/router or DNS issues. "secondlife.com is unavailable" hints at a DNS issue.

If you have not already done so since this problem started, power off your router/cable modem for a few minutes at least and reboot the computer. If this does not help, try changing over to using Google Public DNS - instructions on how to do that are here: https://developers.google.com/speed/public-dns/docs/using

What did you mean by "secondlife.com is unavailable"? Are you able to get to https://secondlife.com/ directly within your web browser?
