Steps to Reproduce

Please I need your urgent assistance. I installed an update on second life but now I do not hear any sound, no one to talk to me. I do not know what to do. If you can tell me to do. Haver if I need something special or make a sound or something. Thank you.

Filer is using the HTTP update RC viewer: http://wiki.secondlife.com/wiki/Release_Notes/Second_Life_Release/4.0.2.310660

Heya PITISLELA,

Is it just voice chat that you cannot hear? Are you able to hear sounds from gestures, sound files played from inventory, sounds from inworld objects and user interface sounds at all?

Hello PITISLELA,

Along with answering Whirly's questions, will you please try the following:

  1. Open Me > Preferences > Advanced
  2. Check the box to Show Advanced Menu and click OK, which will close Preferences
  3. Now open the Advanced menu near the top of the viewer and select Show Debug Settings
  4. In the Debug Settings window type in HTTPPipelining and set it to TRUE
  5. Close all open menus and relaunch Second Life
