[BUG-8552] Sound effects and music heard on head set but voice chat on speakers. #16147

Steps to Reproduce

Trying to hear voice chat on my head set.

Actual Behavior

Sound effects and music heard on head set but voice chat on speakers. Changing Default devices only turned voices off completely.

Expected Behavior

All sounds playing in my head set.

Heya Sable,

If you plugin a headset while the viewer is running or if you change the audio input/output devices that session then this kind of problem can happen. If you disable voice in preferences and wait a minute and then reenable it, voice should then play back correctly through the headset. If not, a relog may be needed.

Are you still having this problem when you leave the headset plugged in, set your input/output audio devices as you want them in the viewer preferences and then relog?

This has since been fixed with recent firestorm updates.
