[BUG-18215] Impossible to install new versions

Steps to Reproduce

Installing Second Life new version

Actual Behavior

Hi.

I received new versions of SL to be updated in my PC. But it is impossible to install them. I get the following message (in french): "Erreur lor de l’ouverture du fichier en écriture : « C:\Program Files (x86)\SecondLifeViewer\win_crash_logger.exe"... My system is Windows 10. Since the last try I cannot launch my existing version anymore.

Heya Elodie,

Unfortunately this problem happens quite often when using the viewer updater.

The following steps should fix this problem:

• Logout all instances of Second Life.
• Reboot your computer.
• Do not launch the Second Life viewer after rebooting.
• Uninstall the Second Life viewer the usual way through Windows Programs & Features in the control panel.
• Download the latest version of the Second Life viewer from https://secondlife.com/support/downloads/ and install.
