I had a look at the house & the physics shape on the floor doesn't look too bad, but there are a couple of places where there's a gap in it. If you rez something on the floor in those places it may rez under the house. This is something the house creator would need to fix.
I believe I found your BioBreeds dog though :) He's hiding in the roof space. Teleport to http://maps.secondlife.com/secondlife/Cilix/18/143/40 and you will find him

Steps to Reproduce
Place pet and furniture, there was no error message.
Actual Behavior
I moved my pet from my rental house to my new house. They were both in my inventory after picking them up. I placed the food on the floor, rezz was fine. Placed the dog on the floor, he appeared for a moment then was gone. I check lost and found, inventory, all that and no dog. So i derendered the house and found some other missing furniture under the house but still no dog.
Expected Behavior
I was expecting my dog to rez on the floor.

It was a biobreeds brand dog and the house is at http://maps.secondlife.com/secondlife/Cilix/16/164/29
Also I was a different system last night when this occured, which is running Firestorm
