[BUG-216033] SL Project BakesOnMesh - Allow flag and target to be set while rezzed, or with LSL support #3519

How would you like the feature to work?

I would like to be able to either set the flag and target of a selected face while the object is rezzed (while still not displaying the baked texture until the object is worn) or set the bakes flag and target by face number using an LSL script in the worn object.

Why is this feature important to you? How would it benefit the community?

I have an object that still requires a couple of layers that will be targeted by applier, and the idea of trying to select those faces while I am wearing the thing is...not an appealing prospect! :o

If the LSL is already in, or in the works, I apologise. I did take a look around to see if this was already the case but found very little on the subject.

I thought I should add the reason I still need onion skin layers is one foot and one arm on the SL avatar UV. People like to have asymmetrical tattoos, and we've been providing them for years. I don't feel I can go backwards now. :p Maybe in a future project you could consider adding a 4th and 5th texture channel for the other arm and the other foot.

Hi Siddean,

We have imported this for consideration as we continue to develop Bakes On Mesh features.

Thanks!

Hi Kyle, I hope the thing that is being imported for consideration is the 4th and 5th texture channel, which would solve the problem and completely remove the need for onion skin avatars at all! I should perhaps have logged a separate JIRA for that :)
