I currently do not need to hold control when dragging any objects into in-world objects with any viewer.
When I accidentally have any dragging accident it is usually with dragging an object to the wrong folder and not knowing which one I targeted.
I beleive if new behvior is introduced there should be an option to turn it off to go back to prior behavior, in this case, not requiring control to drag inventory anywhere.
Alternatively, I believe a popup should be given to the user letting them know they're about to drag a folder of items into an object and ask if they wish to continue.
How would you like the feature to work?
Require holding Control key to drag folders into in world objects (not the contents folder in edit mode). Without Control key pressed dragging folders in world should do nothing.
Dragging individual objects into in world objects already requires holding down Control.
Why is this feature important to you? How would it benefit the community?
The primary concern is perceived content loss. Right now it is possible to drag folders small or large (think thousands of items in one folder) into an in world object. If you are not doing this intentionally, you could end up accidentally dropping whole folders into any object you own. Depending on the complexity of the build you are at, it could be a needle in the haystack search trying to find where you dropped your folder. Additionally, one could do it on accident and not even realize the mistake and believe they have experienced content loss.
