[BUG-225189] AniMesh physics shape not overlaying visual shape, disappears when object edited, no touch hand #4052

What just happened?

examining the new animesh physics shape behavior

What were you doing when it happened?

have an animesh object with a defined physics shape

What were you expecting to happen instead?

1) physics shape to approximately overlay the object, not float up above it 2) edit the object and physics shape to stay visible (same as editing non-animesh mesh object) 3) have a 'hand' icon and be able to touch the physics shape

1) POSSIBLY NOT DIRECTLY A PROBLEM!! It was animesh moving the visible animal to the uploaded z-offset position. turn animesh off and the physics overlaps correctly – ISSUE: shouldnt the physics box also use the same z-offset (defined during upload) as the animesh object?

2) still a problem when animesh is enable for the object

3) still a problem is animesh is enabled or not

3a) with animesh uncheck, hand appears as normal and can touch – but enable the animesh checkbox and that stops
