[BUG-225920] RenderAnimateRes is not as much fun as the code suggests - remove it. #4602

What just happened?

Setting the debug option "RenderAnimateRes" to TRUE causes any newly rezzed prims to "vanish" from the screen.

What were you doing when it happened?

1) Rez a cube 2) go to debug settings and set RenderAnimateRes to TRUE 3) shift drag the cube and note that no new cube appears. 4) look at the two blue squares on the minimap https://i.gyazo.com/493eeee025ac10960125933c29fa3f36.jpg

What were you expecting to happen instead?

Not really sure but the source code promises "fun" so fireworks, dancing penguins or maybe cake? This was not my idea of fun.

Other information

I am removing the code from FS, there is more than enough fun to be found without this. I'll attach a patch soon

Seems like this stopped being fun about 8 years ago!

Hi Beq,

I'm not familiar with this particular debug setting, and the behavior is odd indeed. Since its a change to long standing behavior I've moved this to a Feature Request, which will get more eyes on it for a decision.

Thanks!
