What just happened?

i've been working on building on dinosaurs park sim. and i gotten a hold of support and they sent me to you. the trouble well one of the trouble is when i link prim at times they well go from 4 prim link to 2 prim land impact, also i link 8 prims and adding a shinny texture to them. at which point they set object jump to 600 plus land impact. also i have trouble when someone enter or leave the sim well cause some scripts to stop working for a few seconds. also had trouble with lag when someone enter or leaves the sim. a long with a number of other random things going on.

What were you doing when it happened?

working on a building on the sim.

What were you expecting to happen instead?

the prims to link together and not ned up with random large land impact.

Hiya Tyron,

I suspect that the "unusually high" land impact when you link 2 objects together is expected behaviour. If you link a legacy prim or sculpty with a mesh object or you add a material texture to a legacy (non mesh) object, then that object will then use the "new" mesh accounting. Tortured legacy prims (like a ring or a torus) & sculpted prims will hjave very high land impace when using the mesh accounting.

What you should do is rez out 2 (or more) objects that reproduce the problem when you link them and name those objects "BUG-226087 object 1", "BUG-226087 object 2" etc. Explain which objects you are linking to which and give a SLURL to the opbjects location. The Lindens can then test thoise objects to see if this is a bug or not.

...also had trouble with lag when someone enter or leaves the sim... Unfortunately this is a known problem, especially on busy regions. It could be BUG-8946

Hi there,

As Whirly mentioned above in order to properly triage this issue, we need to know which specific objects you're referring to. If you could please either send them to Mazidox Linden in-world and make sure they're called "BUG-226087 object 1" and "BUG-226087 object 2", or edit your BUG here to include a location where both of the objects you're referring to can be found in-world we can proceed with our investigation. In addition, if you could include a list of specific steps to take when you see this issue happening, including keyboard presses and mouse clicks that will make reproducing the issue much easier.
