[BUG-227036] Appearance window shows Unsaved changes #5451

What just happened?

  1. Open Appearance window
  2. Select a different outfit and right-click > Wear - Replace Current Outfit
  3. Appearance window shows Unsaved changes
  4. Save

  5. no change WORKAROUND: Save As another name. works flawlessly, "Now wearing..." appears correctly. relog (names don't set unless you do) and delete the earlier stuck "Unsaved changes" outfit.

    What were you doing when it happened?

    TRYING to change an outfit

    What were you expecting to happen instead?

    Appearance window should show "Now wearing..."

    Other information

    Inconsistent repro. Must change several outfits. COF ok and avatar fully baked.

it appears that ALL my outfits show "Unsaved changes". going through a number of them it appeared that some were fine but wearing them a second time after switching to another outfit they showed "Unsaved changes". and, now some of them are fine and persist showing "Now wearing...". flaky.

may be related to BUG-8604 (reported 24feb15, and BUG-40463 (reported 8sep16, and BUG-40940 (reported 20nov16). best technical details in 8604.

I can easily reproduce this with about 75% of my saved outfits on default release: Second Life Release 6.2.2.527338 (64bit)
