[BUG-227688] [DFS] Items go missing after rolling restart #5915

What just happened?

Scripted no copy items go missing after rolling restarts. This has been on going for a while now, I have several customers complaining that items go missing after a rolling restart and I keep replacing them but have now asked them to create support tickets by LL staff.

The items has been sitting out for days so its not a item that was placed down a moment before the restart.

They have fields out or boxes with harvested products that has just disappeared.

What were you doing when it happened?

Avoiding rolling restarts

What were you expecting to happen instead?

For the items to stay in place where they were rezzed

Other information

Customers have created tickets to have the sims rolled back to recover the items and they get rejected. There should be no reason for the items to go missing. Below is the response they usually get from the tickets...

We have received your rollback request. Unfortunately, only the Estate Owner or Estate Manager can submit a support ticket in order to request a rollback.

As you may be aware, rollbacks are for emergencies only and are not a way to undo user errors - so we tend to review them very closely and decide whether to grant a rollback. We cannot perform a rollback without the requested information, so please ask them to be as complete as possible.

However, with all this said you specifically mention DFS items that have vanished from your inventory. DFS items I have encountered numerous times and been notorious known for disappearing from other Residents. However, because this is something that we have heard of happening numerous times, you actually may be able to recover these items from DFS's official web page. I sent in a support ticket about this. I lost 80 water fields, 10 feed mills, and 1 water well.

we also lost items at ancient forest 

I lost 29 water fields tiny

4 tiny dirt fields

5 berry bushes with the rocks

1 oven

1 stove

3 feed mills

4 stills

4 water troughs 

I also have a rener on parcel lost cows and berry bushes and also renters on the market also lost items 

I fought for 3 days to get linden labs to do a rollback to recover all the missing items to them saying they cant and im a estate manager also had sim owner try and nothing

I lost 56 DFS dirt fields tiny, 2 DFS water Fields tiny, 2 DFS Gumdrop Tree (GB), DFS Gumdrop Tree, 1 Water tower - Barrel and 3 DFS pine tree

 

it al happens in artemide and were rezzed there for over a week

I put in a Jira ticket tonight after an unannounced rollback on our region cost us 30 hay bales and 30 pig food, gone, poof.  talked to the region admin, they said it was LL, no announcement.  plus all the field tending and harvests today, gone as well.  jeez.

1419025 This is the ticket number from the items I lost on 09/22/2019. I look at the ticket today and see that it says it's been resolved. But it really hasn't they just keep sending us back to the creator. I lost 20 DFS Stoves - small, 21 DFS Water Field V2.4 - tiny, 1 DFS Chicken Coop - tiny, 3 Wooden Troughs, 1 Water Well - tiny, and 2 DFS Berry Bushes.  This totaled over 6000L, it's ridiculous to keep taking these losses while customers of BOTH LL and DFS get tossed from one to the other. I honestly don't care whose fault it is anymore. I would just like items to stop disappearing. I have been using DFS for over 2 years. Oh and all of these items went missing from the Island of Magic. Not one item returned after the maintenance done on 09/28/2019.

1 DFS strawberry Plant went missing 2019/10/4 AM i noticed it missing i tended it yesterday morning ,stayed in world over night  and the sim loged me out,item was Locked in place and set to Private
