[BUG-10243] log in page does not load #597

Steps to Reproduce

logging in

Actual Behavior

screen remains transparant at any attempt

Expected Behavior

seeing the login screen all i get is frame

Heya Kamagira,

Do you see the login buttons on the login screen and the top menu bar? If you can see the top menu bar, please go to Help -> About Second Life, click the "Copy to clipboard" button and paste all your system information into a comment here. Thanks!

comment , i did say i cannot see anything but the frame of the page no butttons reistalled several times , nothing

resintsalled latest version of second life own viewer , today. my system is windows 7 on toshiba satelite . and satelite pro,

both Firestorm and second life V , stopped showing login page on viewer, (transparant with just frama which means the initial screen / portal to second life. i have used driver booster to see if i wss missing game components but no. all before version of viewers worked on both a windows 8 and windows 7 version , baffled ...Kama

Huh, that's very strange. I've seen similar problems with the login screen caused by Desktop Composition. Some systems suffer from this problem if Desktop Composition is enabled and some if it's disabled (go figure...). Did you change your Desktop Composition setting before this problem started or disable Windows Aero or anything like that?
