How would you like the feature to work?
Today users are able to use features in the viewer like hiding online status / not showing in search. These options can be overridden by huds sold on Marketplace, where any user can add any other user to a list of tracked avatars and track avatars' online status, against their wish and even knowledge. There should be a feature that lets users hide their online status for good.
Why is this feature important to you? How would it benefit the community?
It is important because the features available today (hide status from friends and don't show in search) give only illusion of privacy. Anyone can use a tracking hud to track any other avatar against their knowledge and against these existing features. So either these features are useless and should be removed or there should be a proper way to execute what they offer. It may be especially important for users who had to mute other users due to stalking or harassment but the stalker keeps stalking the victim using hud, sometimes on multiple accounts.
