How would you like the feature to work?
The astronomical prices for Adult-rated land indicate that there is still a shortage of it.
SL seems to need a "Homestead Act". It's goal would be to increase the number of purely-Residential parcels.
I suggest that the Moderate-rated continent be allowed to have Adult-rated activites in small Adult-Residential-designated parcels – subject to the following conditions:
(1) A new category of Adult-Residential would be created ONLY for the Moderate-rated region. NO business activities of ANY kind (including escorts) would be allowed in parcels so rated.
(2) Adult-Residential-rated land on the Moderate-rated continent must be individual-owned, not Group-owned.
(3) Owners of ANY Adult-Residential-rated land on the Moderate-rated continent may own only ONE parcel ANYWHERE in SL.
(4) Owners of ANY Adult-Residential-rated land on the Moderate-rated continent may own NO MORE THAN 4,096-sqm (ANYWHERE in SL).
(5) Owners of ANY Adult-Residential-rated land on the Moderate-rated continent may NOT contribute ANY land-tier to Groups.
(6) On Adult-Residential-rated land on the Moderate-rated continent NO Adult-content nudity, activities, devices, signage, or other displays may be visible from another parcel.
(7) No Adult-Residential-rating would be allowed for ANY Linden Home outside of the Adult-rated regions.
Why is this feature important to you? How would it benefit the community?
Currently, residential owners of adult-rated land are literally "pinned" to where they are — with no Player Auction, it is outrageously difficult to find better Adult-rated land at a reasonable price, and also outrageously difficult to sell their current land for even half of what the same amount of new land will cost. The alternative is to rent, and that discourages Premium memberships as well as impacts desires for privacy. The current situateion is driving Premium Adult players away.
