This is sort of fixed on http://wiki.secondlife.com/wiki/Release_Notes/Second_Life_Release/4.0.0.308641 Drop down lists work now but you have to left click & hold in order to make a choice. The drop down only remains visible while the left mouse button is pressed down. It's usable though.
Steps to Reproduce
Login on http://automated-builds-secondlife-com.s3.amazonaws.com/hg/repo/viewer-cef_viewer-cef/rev/305703/index.html
Using the internal web browser or a MOAP, visit various websites that make use of a drop down list to input choices.
Compare behaviour to default release, Second Life 3.8.4 (305119) Sep 15 2015 17:13:05 (Second Life Release)
Example 1 - http://cgi-lib.berkeley.edu/ex/simple-form.html page
Go to Develop -> UI -> Web Content Browser.
Go to Feature Tests -> Simple HTML forms.
Alternatively just visit http://cgi-lib.berkeley.edu/ex/simple-form.html directly.
Attempt to use the "What is thy favorite color" drop down.
Example 2 - Web profile privacy settings
Open your own web profile in the viewer.
Go to Settings -> Privacy.
Attempt to use the drop downs to change the options.
Observed Behaviour
Most drop down lists on web pages do not function on Valhalla but work just fine on default release.
On Valhalla, when clicking the arrow to expose the drop down choices, nothing happens.
Making sure the drop down box has focus and using the up and down arrow on the keyboard will sometimes work to allow you to cycle through the choices, but it doesn't work for all drop downs.
For Example 2, when changing permissions on your profile, even though the drop down choices do not display, if the drop down box is selected and you click the arrow on a different dropdown, the previous drop down selected will change setting. It's really easy to accidently change a setting you didn't mean to.
Fig 1 shows Example 1 on Valhalla.
Fig 2 shows Example 1 working correctly on default release.
Fig 3 shows Example 2 on Valhalla.
Fig 4 shows Example 2 working correctly on default release.
Expected Behaviour
Drop down lists on web pages should be functional. Especially important are the ones within the web profile settings and on the Marketplace web pages. Example on the marketplace - attempt to change "Search in" and Maturity on https://marketplace.secondlife.com/ - it's not functional on Valhalla.
Other information
Please can you update the JIRA, I keep getting bitten by https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/JRA-29357, which was fixed in 6.1 ;)
