[BUG-231104] [CEF 91] Many Inworld operations do not work #8636

What just happened?

Logging in screen is blank [white] but I am able to log in 1 Avatar templates do not load 2 Search does not load 3 Landmark list does not load [I have to use Inventory]

What were you doing when it happened?

I reported this bug on Tuesday I have since uninstalled Sl & re-installed a new Download but with the same defects

What were you expecting to happen instead?

I expected SL Viewer to work fully as it did before the recent mandatory up-date

Other information

If I wait for the next mandatory up-date I hope the problems are solved

Hi Mindy,

The most likely reason for this is that Firewall and antivirus software is blocking the Second Life media plugin.

What Firewall and antivirus software do you have installed on the affected system?

Please reproduce the profile failure and then before relaunching the viewer, zip up your viewer logs folder and attach it to this issue using More -> Attach files. This page tells you where to find the logs folder: http://community.secondlife.com/t5/English-Knowledge-Base/How-to-report-a-bug/ta-p/733545#Section_.3

Make sure slplugin.exe is whitelisted in your antivirus and firewall software. The slplugin.exe file is located inside the viewer installation folder. Let us know if this resolved the issue.

If that does not fix it, try closing all other apps and tasks in the System tray that may be running and see if that resolves the issue.
