Hello! I'm sorry this happened, and for the delayed response!
There's often reasons why a single resident's name wouldn't work for gifting, but it's concerning that it isn't working for any resident's name! It's possible there was an outage with one of our services at the time, could you please try again and let us know if it's still not working for you?

What just happened?
On the MP, click "Add to cart as gift," enter avatar name, click "Find Resident." Resident not found. Tried many different names. In all cases resident is not found and the cart not updated. Tried different items from multiple sellers. Same issue with Edge, Chrome, and Firefox browsers.
What were you doing when it happened?
Trying to buy an item as a gift on the MP.
What were you expecting to happen instead?
Gift item added to the cart.
