[BUG-10626] New Password Login to Aditi failure #934

Steps to Reproduce

Trying to login into the Aditi Beta Testing grid with my new password.

Actual Behavior

I just changed my password and I am told I have to file a Jira report each time so it can be manually reset on the server. I have changed it. Aditi new password login fails

Expected Behavior

To be able to login with my new password to the Aditi Beta Testing grid.

Other information

I am a avid investor in Full Perm items so I MUST be able to have them load in Aditi to test textures.

The account syncing on beta grid is still broken. Linden Lab support can now fix this though, so instead of filing a new JIRA issue each time you change password, you need to file a support ticket at https://support.secondlife.com/create-case/ and request for your inventory/password to be synced over to Aditi.

There is no place to request this at the link you gave me. Unless you can give me a 1...2...3...

Really this is getting to be a pass it to another issue. Leaving us the residents not knowing what issue to tag it as, or who is to fix it.

Whirly you are going to have to tell me at that link WHAT fields to fill in?? And where can I request(which box that has a fill in) for my inventory/password to be synced over to Aditi?

Yeah this problem has been passed around a bit. At first everyone had to create a JIRA issue to request a sync on Aditi. Then LL support were given the tools to do the sync & everyone now gets sent to support. See the comments at the bottom of BUG-10378 for Linden clarification that Aditi sync now needs to go through support.

It probably doesn't matter which option you choose tbh, as long as you state you need an inventory sync on Aditi, the ticket will end up in the correct place. The closest option on https://support.secondlife.com/create-case/ I would say is either "Account Issue" -> "Second Life viewer login issues" - which is technically true if you changed your password, Aditi won't accept the new password to login, or "Technical Questions" -> "Inventory (un-rezzed) issues.

I believe from now on I will just choose premium live chat as it seems they see to it quicker. It should not take more than 24 hours to update/reset a server...technically speaking.

We just rolled out a new update mechanism - after you log in on the beta grid, overnight your inventory should be merged from the main grid. This will happen after each day you log onto the beta grid: any new additions from your main inventory will be available on the beta grid the following day.

Please let us know if that doesn't work.

I have never got back into SL Beta since it was changed . I expect it was that Linden Labs wanted us to burn through our own lindens uploading non working mesh :) he last time i tried i ended up in a building I could not leave
