First, please note I have tried this in a variety of viewers, they all share the same issue.
The space Navigator (SN) and other 'joysticks' have the ability to switch to flycam mode, where the joystick moves the camera but not the avatar. On my SN, clicking the left button decouples the camera from the avatar and moves my POV according to the joystick. Click it again and flycam is disabled, and the joystick controls the avatar.
If I am in a moving vehicle (sitting), doing these 3 step leaves the camera stuck - pinned to one absolute location. I can't change the location with the SN, the camera controls or even using presets. If I stand , I regain the ability but the vehicle continues to move without me, or more often is returned .
In researching this , another avatar tried an Xbox controller on his window PC and saw the same issue. I have tried the Linden Viewer (very latest i was required to load after installing Atlasaurius), the latest Firestorm alpha and the latest available Megapahit.
My colleague with the Xbox controller on Windows, reverted to the last version 6 FS, and it too expressed the bug.
This bug makes sailing and pod exploring using a joystick no fun at all. I imagine flying becomes fatal rather quickly, sailing certainly does.
