Hair (and other alpha items) Transparency issues causing 'bleed' effect to textures #2323

This issue is separate from the one described at https://feedback.secondlife.com/bug-reports/p/pbr-client-opacity-issue-on-textures-with-alpha-channel-windows.

In this case, some hairstyles are experiencing a texture bleeding problem, which results in areas appearing thicker where they previously consisted of fine hairs. This was observed and tested with Geenz and Runitai Linden during a Content Creators Meeting.

As this problem hadn't been encountered before, it was suggested that we create a Canny post to gather more information and examples from others who might be experiencing it.

If your business is affected by this issue, please provide comparison images, the name of the affected item, and any relevant links. This will enable the Lindens to investigate further.

While a potential fix was suggested, there are concerns that it might cause other content to break. A quick test fix attempted by Geenz during the meeting led to other transparencies becoming more opaque.

This issue may also affect plants and other creations using PNG/alpha textures. Additional examples would be greatly appreciated.
