Everything Looks Black and White M2 #2558

Environment

Second Life Release 7.1.10.10800445603 (64bit) Mac M2

Description

This issue is being reproduced but reportedly only on M2 macs: https://github.com/secondlife/viewer/issues/1852

Reproduction steps

  1. Visit this location: Panfield
  2. Change the reflection coverage settings from "Manual" to "Full Scene".
  3. Wait 10-20 minutes.
  4. Zoom in and out on a house or avatar, dragging the camera to force the environment to re-render or reload.

is this related to the time of day on the environment day cycle settings? might that be why waiting is part of the repro? do we have info on what the Apparent Time of Day is when this is being seen?

The region is using a 24 hour EEP setting. Looking at Igor's image on https://github.com/secondlife/viewer/issues/1852#issuecomment-2346287632, the environments Apparent Time of Day is around midday when this issue is triggered.

Just retested at approximately 8pm apparent time and issue still present (white out after about 5 mins)

I believe issue is also occuring on M3 Macs (from a friend who mentioned), Appreciate not so many of those around to be able to test with :-)
