Drop-down for column type not working in "adding new column" dialogue

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Got to "tables" tab, add new table or amend existing
2. In "table structure definition" click "+ add"
3. In "adding new column" dialogue, column properties, click on the down arrow 
next to "type". 

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
Only two items are displayed - "numeric (double type)" and "text (HTML)"; 
however expecting the full list of types that can be scrolled in the type 
window then the drop-down is closed and arrow keys used instead.

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
v4.0.0.0.beta2 on Turnkey Linux (Debian 6.0)

In simple view there are only two data types available. Please switch to 
advanced view for more.
