Update: 1.29 seems to get past all these issues but wont download FFmpeg
Hello adam01212,
Sorry for taking so long to respond to your query.
I've not been able to replicate your problem. MacYTDL needs to download copies of yt-dlp and FFmpeg. To start, it uses "curl" to download the relevant web pages. If nothing comes back, MacYTDL bangs those dialogs. It's very difficult to diagnose as AppleScript doesn't pass on http errors . Also such errors can be transitory. Can you try again ?
If you still cannot get FFmpeg, could you please help with these details:
Many thanks,
Garry
yt-dlp wont download depite being connected to the internet & no firewall (and on different networks) MacYTDL Displays Error message: "There was a problem with downloading yt-dlp. Perhaps you are not connected to the internet, you have a rule in LittleSnitch denying connection or the server is currently not available. When you are sure you are connected to the internet, re-open MacYTDL then try to install yt-dlp." when starting and will not work whatsoever
MacOS Sonoma 14.7.1
Not sure why this isnt working at all for me
Can we have an option to manually select downloaded files/zips of these components?
