Instantly crashes on CrunchBang Linux (debian testing) #439

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Build DT from source using mercurial, qmake, and make
2. Run DT from ~/dwarftherapist/bin/release/DwarfTherapist

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
The interface should come up, and wait for me to load DF

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
Current version (built from source on thursday of last week) On CrunchBang 
Linux.
Linux kernel 3.2, Based on Debian Testing

Please provide the "run.log" file in the "log" directory of DwarfTherapist
when this error occurred.

You must copy etc directory from source to ~/dwarftherapist/bin/release/

This fixed the problem I was having.

Perhaps a more informative error message, 
"You must copy etc directoy from source to working directory"
would be better than 
"Unknown error"?

Dwarf Therapist running on CentOS 6.3 x86_64
