updated charge 3 support status #79

Is updated charge 3 supported? I've received the "timeout" at the second step of binding (memory readout).

Hi @invy,

the Charge 3 is too new, I think it never supported memory readout in the first place. Current devices only support live mode but memory readout and fitness record extraction are no longer working after Fitbit released security fixes. Thus, we are not working that actively on this project any more.

If you want to extract the firmware, you might be lucky with opening your Charge 3, soldering on all pins and locating the SWD pins. On newer models, everything got very small and we failed doing so for the Fitbit Ionic. But the Charge series might be easier to handle.

I'm mostly interested in having independent app to store and analyze fitness data.
